He can be found parked on the side of the road along the Shinkanjou CCL on the beginning of Rainbow Bridge (starting in stage 2). He will pull out and challenge you if you are driving an American or European car (not including special or custom cars). However, you can bump him from behind and force him to move out of his spot, and then challenge him if you are driving one of the forementioned types of vehicles. In the Japanese version of the game, the PS2 clock must be set between 21:00 and 23:00 (Japanese 24-hour time), and setting the PS2 clock to the forementioned time settings will increase the likelihood of him appearing in the US version.

- In the Japanese version of the game, Master Position's real name is listed as Yumi Onoda. His Kanji characters were altered slightly, from 小野田 裕己 to 小野田 裕巳. Despite the Kanji change, Master Position's real name translates to either Hiromi Onoda or Yumi Onoda, as in previous titles.
- This is the only time that Master Position appears on the Shinkanjou route in the TXR series (he is usually found on the C1 Loop).
