The Isuzu VehiCROSS was a "Halo Compact SUV" that was introduced with very small numbers in 1997 (Japan), 1999 (North America). It was based off of the VehiCROSS concept vehicle (1993). The VehiCROSS was discontinued in North America in 2001 after only 4500 were built (1500 were built per year in North America between 1999-2001). It shares the same components used on the Isuzu Trooper, albeit with a much more "offroadish", apparent by its lower black body cladding. The Japanese version has 215PS from its Trooper-shared 3.2-liter 6VE1, but thanks to its outstanding weight, it is rather absurdly slow. US models used a 3.5-liter V6 and featured a black/orange leather interior.

The Isuzu VehiCROSS Basegrade (UGS250; Japanese model) is featured in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3. It is unlocked when you defeat The Stomach (Willows team leader).
